at Hakanto Contemporary - ZFI

After four years in Antananarivo, Hakanto Contemporary has moved to a new location covering almost 2,000 m2.

This new, larger space is designed to allow artists to express their desires and convictions.

The inaugural season of this new space, brought together under the title "Family Histories", is structured around six exhibitions with multiple accents:

THE GRIEF, a sound exhibition by Aude Onivola Rajaona in which she summons up her family memories from a birthday party to a fara-veloma.

LE CORPS DES VOLANTS À SIX ÉTAGES, Jessy Razafimandimby's first monographic exhibition in Madagascar, transports us into his different visions between fianakaviana fendrofendro sa ve ampinga paradisa?

AVEC ELLES, Alexandre Gourçon's first solo show, draws on the heritage of his two grandmothers, but above all on the local asa tanana.

MOTHER, a discussion between Asma Ben Aissa and Elie Ramanankavana about motherhood, Mama a!

THIS IS MY HOME, a selection of works from the Yavarhoussen Collection. An intimate, imaginary vocabulary of a house with no geography except that of lightness.

And last but not least, JOELY SY ANDY, an original dialogue between Andy Warhol and Joely, our Malagasy spokesman for contemporary life.

This inaugural cycle examines the notion of the family as a life force and source of inspiration, but also as a burden on the expansion of our being.

Artists on display: Aude Onivola Rajaona, Alexandre Gourçon, Jessy Razafimandimby, Asma Ben Aissa, Andrianina Rajoelisoa (Joely), Elie Ramanankavana, Malala Andrialavidrazana, Sic Po Chan, Aina Jo Harimanjato, Pierre Paulin, Gaston Rakotovao, Emile Ralambo, Sterling Ruby, Nick Van Woert, Andy Warhol.
